SALEM SHOTWELL COVERED BRIDGE

Where: Opelika in Lee County, Alabama

When Built: 1900

GPS Coordinates: 32°39′33.46″N, 85°22′52.94″W

Originally built as a 76-foot span over Wacoochee Creek, this bridge was damaged by a falling tree in 2005. A 43-foot portion was rebuilt from the ruins and installed at Opelika Municipal Park, where it stands today.
